The Center for Financial Inclusion at ACCION International, a Massachusetts-based nonprofit organization, is raising the bar when it comes to nonprofit web design with the launch of a new website for The Smart Campaign www.smartcampaign.org. The Campaign is devoted to uniting microfinance leaders around the world in an effort to strengthen the industry and to learn how to better serve clients.
Boston Interactive built a site that engages visitors with a variety of information and calls for them to take action by providing easy-to-locate forms so they are able to endorse the campaign or make a donation. The new website has a fluid user interface and an edgy, yet refined style that is able to effectively broadcast the Campaign’s core message. By providing “Smart Tips” and its main philosophies on the homepage, the site lets visitors know exactly what they can expect from the site without having to click anywhere first. The site also has many resources for microlenders regarding topics such as ethics, collections, and debt management to name a few.
The Smart Campaign was officially launched in October, 2009 and has already collected more than 900 endorsements. Considering the importance of microlending in today’s world and how drastically a life can be changed with only a few hundred dollars, we at Boston Interactive are extremely proud to have been able to be a part of this Campaign and do our part to help.
